Dorai products are more mold-resistant than soft dish pads or hand towels, but mold can still develop with prolonged saturation, humidity, and exposure to food particles. To prevent mold in humid climates, allow your stone to fully dry between uses. When saturated, prop it up against a wall, and once it returns to its original light color, it's ready to use. We also recommend wiping it down weekly with a clean sponge and warm water, and spraying the panels with diluted hydrogen peroxide, vinegar or ‘Force of Nature’ (a natural, non-toxic cleaner). The silicone cover is removable and dishwasher safe.  Ensure both the silicone cover and Diomat® panels are completely dry before reassembling the Dish Pad.
