Does the stone bow, and what can I do about it?Updated 3 months ago

Our Diomat ® boards are made from a proprietary blend of diatomaceous earth, recycled paper, and other ingredients. These amazing stones dry almost instantly to keep your home clean and dry. The boards absorb moisture and dry over and over, meaning there’s expansion and contraction in the boards constantly. With that can come bowing. Over the years we have made changes to our manufacturing processes and packaging to reduce bowing. We track product issues closely and are proud that these changes mean that less than 1% of our boards have bowing issues. Unfortunately, with this natural product that absorbs moisture quickly, we can’t entirely avoid bowing. If you are part of the less than 1% of our customers whose Diomat ® stone bows, we are happy to replace it.
